Justine Mannering, a managing director at Stifel, was named as a board member of the Starfish Greathearts Foundation in May 2019. Starfish Greathearts is an international non-governmental organization formed in response to the tragedy of children orphaned or left vulnerable by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in South Africa. Its mission is to help make a difference to the lives of these children through community-based organizations working at grassroots level.

The mission is to partner with human service organizations worldwide to improve service delivery outcomes by developing, applying, and promoting accreditation standards. She was also a part of the Red Light Children on the board of directors from February 2006 to September 2008. the NGO affiliated with The K11 Project: a trio of human rights films created by Priority Films aimed at raising awareness about human slavery and the exploitation and trafficking of children. Part of a team who planned and executed events ranging from small VIP screenings to 1000+ person events at the United Nations.

The founding women of Exponent have been recognized for their achievements in the financial transaction industry by receiving the award in 2019.  Michelle Van Hellemont, Nanette Heide, Marilyn Adler, Justine Mannering, and Amy Weisman all received the honor. Hellemont is head of business development at Accordion. This is the first technology platform designed to institutionalize a private equity firm’s approach to value creation. Heide is the Co-Chair of the Private Equity group at Duane Morris, representing private equity and venture capital investors, multinational and domestic corporations. Marilyn Adler is a Managing Partner of Mizzen Capital. She is on the board of SBIC and active in UJA’S Women of Wall Street, Private Equity Women’s Investor Network and ACG. Justine Mannering is a Managing Director at Stifel, a full-service brokerage and investment banking firm. Amy Weisman is the director of business development at Sterling Investment Partners.
